Speedel has been nominated for a #TogetherWeCare award, an initiative introduced by the Leicestershire Cares charity.
The sameday courier received the nomination from the charity’s CEO Kieran Breen for ‘stepping up and supporting the community and charitable sector to get essential items to vulnerable people who are isolated as a result of the pandemic’. The company also received an earlier nomination from Raheema Caratella, Community Development Coordinator at Leicestershire Cares.
In its latest gesture, Speedel donated and delivered nearly 200 litres of hand moisturiser to the University of Leicestershire NHS Trust’s hospitals.
Shiraz Sidat, Business Manager at Speedel said “We are delighted to have been nominated for a #TogetherWeCare Award. There are so many positive stories going on in the community right now, showing the resilience and passion of the East Midlands’ people.”
“This kind of crisis requires a coordinated approach and we are committed to providing a service that helps deliver to those needing assistance most. We would urge other businesses and charities in our region to get in touch if they are supporting the most vulnerable in our community.”
Speedel’s charity partner programme continues during the COVID19 pandemic. For more information on how to access the free delivery support, contact 0333 772 2021 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
