Speedel has been named as a finalist in two categories at the Leicestershire Business Awards, hosted by the East Midlands Chamber of Commerce.
The sameday courier is a finalist in both the E-commerce Business of the Year and Entrepreneur of the Year categories, with the company’s Operations Manager Shiraz Sidat named in the latter.
A further panel judging day will take place ahead of the winners being announced in September. Winners from each of the selected categories could also go on to compete in the national British Chamber of Commerce awards which take place in November.
Speedel has worked hard during recent months to improve the overall customer journey and experience. The team remain committed to providing courier services that truly deliver for customers in a number of sectors including aerospace, legal, retail and print & display. Improvements to the booking process including adding vehicle size calculators, offering instant proof-of-delivery emails to all members of the team and sending auto notifications have all enhanced the 24/7, 365 day offering already in existence.
“We are delighted and honoured to have been named as finalists in two such prestigious categories,” says Shiraz.
“Our entire team are always looking for ways to provide the very best customer experience and to set ourselves apart from other courier services. We place the customer at the heart of everything we do so to have been recognised as a finalist is humbling and hugely pleasing. We’ll be keeping our fingers crossed between now and September” he added.
